KavirDev in Vedas: The Supreme God who Destroys Sins

KavirDev in the Vedas: The Sin-Destroying “Bandi Chhor”

For centuries, the name "Kabir" has been associated with a 15th-century mystic poet. However, the Vedas—the foundational scriptures of humanity—reveal a much deeper truth. The word "Kabir" is actually the Sanskrit Kavir, the name of the Supreme God who is the only entity capable of destroying sins and liberating souls from the 21 universes of Kaal.

I. The Linguistic Secret: Kavir-anghari

In the Yajurveda, we find a specific and powerful name for God that traditional scholars have often overlooked or mistranslated.

Yajurveda Adhyaya 5, Mantra 32:

"Kaviranghari asi | Bambhari asi .. ||"

The Tattvgyan Breakdown:

  • Kaviranghari: Kavir (God Kabir) + Anghari (Enemy of Sins). This translates to "God Kabir is the Enemy of Sins."
  • Bambhariasi: The Liberator from bondage

Traditional translators often translate "Kavir" as "poet." But think logically: Why would a mantra say a "poet" is the enemy of sins and the supporter of the universe? It is a proper name—the name of the Supreme Lord who destroys the karmic debts of His devotees.

II. The "Bandi Chhor" (The Prison-Breaker)

The individual Kaal Brahm has trapped us in a cycle of 8.4 million species. Because he is bound by the Law of Karma (Justice), he cannot forgive sins; he must punish them. This makes him the "Jailer."

The Vedas identify KavirDev as the Bandi Chhor:

  1. Breaking the Shackles: Just as a King can pardon a prisoner that the Jailer cannot, God Kabir can cancel the "slaughter orders" issued by Kaal.
  2. Beyond the 21 Universes: He is the only God who resides in Satlok (the eternal realm) and has the authority to take a soul out of Kaal's 21-universe jurisdiction.
  3. The True Friend: While Kaal consumes 1 lakh souls daily, KavirDev descends to this world to save souls and return them to their true home.

III. Why Does God Descend as a "Poet"?

If He is the Supreme God, why is He called a "Poet" in the Vedas?

  • Rigveda Mandal 9, Sukt 96, Mantra 17-20: These verses describe that the Supreme God descends to Earth, moves about like a child, and then spreads His knowledge through "Kavir-Geerbhi" (Poetic Speech).
  • The Disguise: He appears in a human-like form and delivers His message in the form of couplets and poems (Dohas) so that the common person can understand the Tattvgyan, even while the "learned" scholars remain blinded by their pride.

IV. Summary: KavirDev vs. The World’s Perception

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Is Kabir mentioned in the Rigveda too?

Yes. Rigveda Mandal 9, Sukt 96, Mantra 17 explicitly mentions that the Supreme God's name is KavirDev and that He creates a "vessel of knowledge" through His speech.

2. Why is He called "Bandi Chhor"?

"Bandi" means prisoner, and "Chhor" means to release. He is given this title because He is the only power that can release the soul from the "Bandi-Griha" (Jail) of Kaal's 21 universes.

3. If KavirDev can destroy sins, why do we still suffer?

We suffer because we remain under the jurisdiction of Kaal through unscriptural worship (Lokved). To activate the "Sin-Destroying" power of KavirDev, one must receive the true Mantra from a Tattvadarshi Saint.
